Terms of use
In short
- VerbaNotes is a free beta. It may have bugs, and notes can contain mistakes.
- Check important notes yourself before you rely on them.
- You are responsible for having permission to record your meetings.
Who we are
These terms are between you and Marnix Hazelhoff, Rua Cidade da Horta 29, 3D, Lisbon, Portugal ("we"). Contact: info@verbanotes.com.
The beta
VerbaNotes is currently offered free of charge as a beta. We may change, pause or stop it at any time.
Using VerbaNotes
- Recording consent. Laws on recording conversations differ by country. You must inform the people in your meetings and get their consent where required.
- Your organisation's rules. Make sure using a note-taker is allowed by your employer and by the organiser of the meeting.
- Accuracy. Transcripts and notes are made automatically and can be wrong or incomplete, including names, numbers, tasks and decisions. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial or other critical decisions without checking.
- Fair use. Do not use VerbaNotes to record people secretly, or for anything unlawful.
Your content
Your recordings, transcripts and notes are yours. They are created and stored on your own device, and we never receive them. See the privacy policy for details.
Third-party services
VerbaNotes works with services you already use, such as Microsoft Teams, your Microsoft calendar and your email provider. Their own terms apply to them.
Liability
VerbaNotes is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or for loss caused by missing, incorrect or incomplete notes. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law. [Have a lawyer check this section.]
Law
Portuguese law applies to these terms. [Confirm with the legal check.]
